DELIVERY POLICY

Delivery

This policy explains how MODU delivers and assembles your order, what the service includes and what it does not. It is part of our Terms & Conditions. If the two differ, the Terms & Conditions apply.

1. Where we deliver

We deliver in Beirut and Metn for the flat fee shown at checkout, currently $25 per order. Other areas are on request and quoted before you pay. We may decline delivery to an address we cannot reasonably reach.

2. Lead time

Standard lead time is 14 working days from the day your payment clears. Working days are Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays. Payments received after 14:00 Beirut time count from the next working day.

The lead time is our best estimate and not a guaranteed date. A delay does not entitle you to compensation, a discount or cancellation, except as stated in our Refund Policy. Orders with several items are delivered together when the last item is ready, unless we decide to deliver in parts.

3. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. These include supplier or material shortages, customs, power cuts, fuel shortages, internet or banking outages, strikes, road closures, severe weather and security events. The lead time is extended by the length of the event.

4. Booking your delivery

When your order is ready we contact you to agree a delivery date and a time window. Time windows are estimates. You may move the date once, free of charge, with at least 24 hours notice. Further changes, or changes with less notice, are charged at the delivery fee.

5. What delivery includes

  • transport from our workshop to your address in the delivery area

  • carrying the packages into the room where the product will stand, on the ground floor, by elevator, or by stairs up to the 2nd floor

  • flat-packed, protected packaging

Assembly

6. What assembly includes

Catalogue prices include assembly. For Planner orders, assembly is included unless it is shown as a separate line at checkout.

  • assembly of your MODU product by our assembler, in the agreed room, in one visit

  • fitting of the interiors shown on your order confirmation

  • alignment of doors and drawers

  • fixing tall units to the wall against tipping, where the wall allows it

  • removal of our packaging

7. What is not included

  • moving, dismantling or disposing of your existing furniture, or emptying the room

  • any change to walls, floors, ceilings, skirting or cornices

  • cutting or altering the product to fit your space, and closing gaps to the wall or ceiling

  • electrical work, lighting, sockets or plumbing

  • repair or repainting of walls after fixing

  • hoisting through a window or balcony, a crane or an external lift

  • carrying above the 2nd floor without an elevator, which is quoted separately

  • delivery in the evening, on Sundays or on public holidays

  • waiting time, parking fees, and building permits or management approvals

  • later visits to dismantle, move or re-assemble the product

  • assembly of products that are not MODU products

8. What you need to prepare

  • Be there. You, or an adult you authorise, must be present for delivery and assembly.

  • Check access. Measure your elevator, stairs, corridors and doors before you order. Tell us in advance about a missing elevator, narrow stairs or restricted building hours. We give you the largest panel size on request.

  • Arrange the building. Parking near the entrance and any permission from building management are your responsibility.

  • Prepare the room. The room must be empty, clean and lit, with a finished and reasonably level floor and working electricity.

  • Tell us what is in the wall. Before we fix a unit, tell our assembler where pipes and cables run. We are not liable for damage to services we were not told about.

  • Protect your home. Keep children and pets away from the work area and move valuables out of the way.

After delivery

9. Failed delivery

A delivery fails if nobody is present within 30 minutes of our arrival, if the packages cannot reach the room, or if the room is not ready. A second delivery is charged at the delivery fee, and again for each further attempt. The new date depends on our schedule.

10. Storage

If you cannot receive your order within 7 days of our notice that it is ready, we charge storage of $5 per day per order. After 30 days we may treat the order as abandoned and resell or dispose of the products.

11. Checking and accepting your order

Check the packages and the assembled product before our team leaves. By signing the delivery note you confirm that the order arrived complete, without visible damage, and that assembly was completed.

Report transport damage or missing parts within 48 hours, with photos, on WhatsApp. We do not accept later claims for visible damage.

12. Risk and ownership

Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the packages are delivered to your address. The products remain the property of MODU until paid in full.

13. Damage to your property

Our team takes reasonable care in your home. We are not liable for marks or damage to floors, walls, doors, stairwells or elevators caused by tight access or by conditions you did not tell us about. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

14. Assembling it yourself

If you choose to assemble the product yourself, you do so at your own risk. No part of the price is refunded, and damage from self-assembly is not covered by warranty.

15. Your legal rights

Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under Lebanese law that cannot be waived by agreement.
