These terms apply to every order placed with MODU through modu.furniture, the MODU 3D Planner, WhatsApp, Instagram or in person. "MODU", "we" and "us" means [MODU SARL, Beirut, Lebanon]. Placing an order means you accept these terms.

Made to order

Every MODU product is produced after you order, in the configuration and finish you select. Nothing is kept in stock.

​

Fixed dimensions

MODU modules come in a number of fixed widths and fixed heights and depths. We do not alter them. A run of modules may not fill your wall edge to edge. A gap to the wall is normal and is not a defect.
Measuring your wall, ceiling height, skirting and access route is your responsibility.

Finishes

Colours and textures on screen and in photos are as accurate as we can make them. Small differences to the delivered board are normal and are not a defect.

​

Contract conclusion

Your order is a binding offer. The contract is concluded when we send an order confirmation with an order number. For Planner orders the confirmation shows your modules, interiors, hinge sides and finish. Check it before paying. What is confirmed is what gets built.

Prices

Prices are in US dollars and include VAT. Catalogue product prices include assembly. Planner products show assembly as a separate line at checkout. Delivery is always a separate line. A Planner design or quotation is valid for [14] days.

Payment

Pay by bank transfer (IBAN) or Whish Money, using your order number as reference. 100% is due on ordering.
Production starts once payment has cleared. Unpaid orders are cancelled after 7 days.

Reservation of title

The products remain MODU's property until paid in full.

​

Cancellation

You can cancel or change your order free of charge until production starts. Production starts when your boards are cut, normally within [2] working days after payment clears. After that, no cancellation, change or refund is possible: your boards have been cut to your configuration and finish.

Because MODU products are made to order to your specification, the 10-day withdrawal right for online purchases under Lebanese consumer protection law does not apply.

If we cancel your order, you are refunded in full within [10] working days by the method you paid.

Delivery period

Standard lead time is 14 working days (Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays) from the day your payment clears. Payments received after 14:00 Beirut time count from the next working day. If we expect a delay we tell you and give a new date. If delivery is more than [10] working days later than the confirmed date for reasons within our control, you may cancel and receive a full refund. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control such as supplier shortages, customs, power cuts, road closures or security events.

Delivery area and costs

We deliver in Beirut and Metn for the flat fee shown at checkout. Other areas on request, quoted separately.

​

Deliveries

We agree a delivery date with you. You or an adult you authorise must be present. You are responsible for access: an elevator or stairs that fit the panels, parking nearby and a clear path to the room. If delivery fails because nobody is present or because of access you did not tell us about, the second delivery is charged at the same delivery fee.

Check the packages on delivery. Report transport damage or missing parts within 48 hours with photos on WhatsApp. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery.

Assembly

Our assembler installs the product in the agreed room on the delivery date or a date agreed with you. The floor must be reasonably level and the space must be empty. Moving your existing furniture is not included. Our assembler does not modify walls, floors, skirting or the product.

If you choose to assemble the product yourself, you do so at your own risk and no part of the price is refunded. Damage from self-assembly is not covered by warranty.

Warranty

We warrant your product against manufacturing defects for [2] years from delivery. This covers boards, edge banding, drilling, drawer runners, hinges and handles. Defective parts are repaired or replaced. Refunds are only given if repair and replacement are not possible.

Not covered: normal wear, scratches and dents after delivery, moisture damage on non-moisture-resistant boards, direct sunlight or heat, overloading, misuse, modifications and self-assembly errors.

To claim, send your order number, photos and a short description on WhatsApp. This warranty does not limit your rights under Lebanese consumer protection law.

Returns

Made-to-order products cannot be returned for change of mind. Defects are handled under the warranty.

​

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time or the cost of other trades. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

​

Design and intellectual property

MODU designs, drawings, CNC files, design codes and brand assets remain MODU's property. Buying a product gives no right to reproduce it.

​

Privacy

We use your name, phone, email and address to process and deliver your order and to contact you about it. We share it only with our delivery and assembly partners, only for your order. We do not sell your data.

​

Final provisions

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Disputes go to the courts of Beirut. Contact us first; most issues are solved on WhatsApp. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in force. The version published on modu.furniture when you order applies to your order.
